The Residency Training Program in the Division of General Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital required a web based platform to allow for evaluation of technical skills videos. An intranet system was designed to allow surgeons to view videos of trainees performing surgical skills, and rate those performances based on a particular evaluation schema.
What we did ... Our team at Mediavanta developed a secure back-end intranet system and designed a user friendly and solid interface for the University of Ottawa Residency Training Program. With this system an administrator has the ability to upload and assign videos, add/remove users and view, export and prioritize evaluation results. Users have password protected access to view and evaluate videos.
